"STUDENT OF THE YEAR 2" is way more bad than the the original one.It is predictable and nothing looks like going well. Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday and actually the whole cast disappointed in terms of acting. Tiger's dance and acrobatic skills are shown in a great way in the movie. It never looked like a realistic film.It is Karan Johan's edition of "JO JEETA WOH SIKANDER".It is a one time watch film. It just has some meaningless dialogues. It is boring ,illogical, unrealistic and a silly mindless film. There is ample of bad acting. It is an over hyped, overated and an unconvincing film.
After an amazing 2018, and mindblowing movies in 2019, here comes Dharma to take a 146 minutes dump on Bollywood. Such cringe performances are mere product of nepotism. I myself have no problems with star kids unless they are as good of actor and actresses like Ranbir and Alia. This movie is cringe, meaningless and unworthy of your money and time. The whole movie is out of place. I respect Karan Johar for some of his movies. But this just needs to stop right away.
Though I have heard a lot of bad reviews about this movie yet TBH it wasn't that bad! I mean lets get some perspective people. This movie was far better than SOTY part 1. I mean think about it, the whole movie focuses on the college life its not like that the movie goes off the topic like in the first part where all the students are going to some stupid relative trip and Alia Bhatt is dancing on Radha song to get back to her boyfriend. Secondly, this movie shows the reality of what the present youth is like today. Cheating, love, dhoka everything so projected in this very movie is widely true. I mean hats off to the writer who has actually writen the reality. Its true that some girls are more into money and some guys are more into ayashi. So P.S. i was happy to see Rohan and Shreya together. Last but not the least, many people said that this movie is a huge confusion, what was the confusion? Some colleges have a dress code, some don't. I am no die hard fan of the cast though they do deserve a better rating.
The choreography was great, but the emotion and acting of both actors was poor in that song. I think the only actor who did amazing in the film is the antagonist, Aditya Seal. He played his role very well, in my opinion, better than Tiger Shroff. Tiger Shroff is a great dancer and does amazing stunts, which is why he should consider joining Dancing with the Stars or joining acrobats.
I was expecting a lot from this movie because it stars Tiger Shroff and both Ananya Pandey and Tara Sutaria, both of them are making their debuts but the movie was slightly unrealistic and some parts or concepts couldn't be understood. But they worked hard. Tara is really pretty and Ananya is cute. Tiger shows off his stunts and kabaddi skills which is unique. But there is still scope for improvement - better luck next time with your next movie Tara hopefully Marjaavan will be a success for you. Same goes to other two actors.
The story offers nothing new except for some fight stunts. Even if judged on pure merit without further comparison, the movie has very ordinary sets, lacklustre pace, average music & poor storyline. It is difficult to say which genre the movie belongs to because it isn’t very romantic, neither comic, nor drama and least thrilling.
This was a good movie. Some of the acting was a little cheesy but overall okay. The incorporation of kabbadi as an underlying theme behind the dancing struck a nice balance. The male lead roles exhibited much athleticism albeit less than top-notch acting. The dynamics of shreya's character that is ananya pandey is the true heart of this movie.
Since I watched the trailer of this movie..I decided not to watch this film but still I did so that I can give a decent review. I entered the theatre thinking I wasted my money..and lo...how true I was. Set in the backdrop of a college and its annual competition..anyone can deduce (at least who has seen college) that in reality not a college nor a competition like this ever happens in real life. The whole story rhymes like all colleges you dream of like in K2H2, K3G or even SOTY..but never got in real. A false trade and then you realise that apart of some acting...the whole script is going down. Tiger Shroff again got ample time to show that he's no doubt a damn physical specimen..which I'm sure he's showing it in every movie since 2014. As for the both new comers..they tried their best and I can't take that away from them..but their lack of character depth and no backdrop to their characters ruins it completely. Even side characters, namely Aditya seal or gul panag, couldn't do much more with that. So long story short..if you are a fan of silly commercial cinema..it's a one time watch for you. But if you are a hardcore cinema lover of this gen..congratulations, your instincts were right..forget it.
'Student of the Year 2' has nothing much to recommend itself. a sincere effort by Tiger with some unclear dialogue delivery by him, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutariya fairly fit their roles and the whole movie appears to be a tutorial in Kabbadi. excellent dancing sequences by Tiger Shroff. Alia Bhatt does a good dance number in the end.
Simply not worth the ticket cost. A school where everything is done but studies. Didn't expect this from a producer as experienced as Karan Johar. The first part was comparatively better. Its a movie fòr those who want to waste their time. No practical life depicted in the movie - only a school life one could dream of !!
Waste of time & waste of money. This is a movie only for those who don't have anything else to do. Character selection is good but story is the same old revenge thing. Do not waste money to watch this film. Avengers Endgame is way more interesting than this.
This movie was expected to be fun but I was wrong. The dialogues and story was illogical and I don't suggest you to watch this movie. You can go for some other movie and do not waste your money on this fake drama. Life as shown in this movie is completely irrelevant.
Simply not worth the ticket cost.I would say it is a movie for those who don't have any work and just want to do something cool. Ofcourse its an average grade movie for Tiger Shroff fans. No practicality in the movie. I mean a school where everything is done except studies & boys are fighting for girls in which world is this real
Guys, if you watch it you will get to know that this movie is just showing that this is about students but in reality no one can say that this story is about students. Acting was somewhat good but if talk about other part like story, direction then it was bad AF. if you really want to see some movie prefer other movie, don't go for this.
The script was cringworthy, the dialogues were illogical and everything was rubbish. surprisingly the newcomers gave good acting performance. I really love tiger Shroff but it's high time for him to look at scripts before signing. He is still in his baaghi mode.
The story is same as in 1st part of student of the year , while SOTY was about two boys falling for the same girl , here the story is reversed . Tiger Shroff takes admission in a prestigious college in Dehradun to pursue his love interest Tara Sutaria . Coming to the star cast , Ananya Pandey has the freshness and worked so well in the movie . Tigers work is appreciable and Tara needs some improvement.
This movie is not a sequel to the first movie. Watched this movie last weekend and really enjoyed it. It has a good message and comedy as well. Commercial elements are highlights for the movie. Tiger's acting is outstanding and dance moves are mesmerizing. Overall a one time watch average movie.
This movie was quite boring - failed to attract the audience or bind the audience. Interesting thing is, you know in starting only what is going to be the ending of movie - which is seriously ridiculous. In this school everything happens rather than study. Story is very similar to 1st part. Acting is just average - only Tiger Shroff acting was impressive. If you are a die hard fan of Tiger Shroff than you must go.
Most of the people are telling the movie 'Student of the Year 2' is lengthy, boring, unrealistic etc.. May be.. But I find some real facts. The movie gives the messages - 1. Life doesn't give us the chance to rectify our repeated mistakes again and again, 2. Selfishness and not giving the proper respect to your well wishers, true lovers never lead to a good ending of your life, 3. hard work, practice, believing on yourself can beat talent, and last but not the least 4..team work is the best. I think these are the real values which we should remember and obey in our life. Tiger's fighting and dancing skills again amazed me. Also, acting was good, mostly Tiger and Ananya's.
The students do probably everything except studying. No problem, afterall this is not a factor to become SOTY. The movie has same old story, a not so rich kids aspirations to become student of the year. Karan johar has again introduced what he is known for, a complicated love story. However, movie do make you laugh at certain points, all over it doesn't amazes you. The ending is so jaded. You can watch it if you have nothing to do or else it is a movie to be skipped for sure. Can't expect much from star kids. There is nothing to talk about acting in the movie. Visuals and direction is good. Movie looks colourful and vibrant.
Student of the year 2 is a one-time watch film. The first half of the movie is enjoyable but the second half ruined the movie. We all know that Tiger Shroff doesn't know acting and other female casts are just about alright. This movie is an example of nepotism in Bollywood. Story is so illogical and there are no original songs - most of the songs are a remake. I don't recommend it -if anything - its a one time watch
Usual Bollywood flick, everything you can predict. The movie paints a rosy picture of college life, which is unreal in everyday life. So the hero coming from rural background fights for the student of the year trophy. This movie attracts teenagers, no doubt about it. Chemistry between Tiger Shroff and Ananya worked out pretty well. Tiger's acting was pathetic. Ananya did a fairly good job and pulled off her role excellently. The songs were colorful bringing life into movie. The movie lacks complete logic. Overall the usual disappointment if you are expecting something great.
Student of the Year 2, starring Tara Sutaria, Ananya Panday, Tiger Shroff and his biceps, is a first-rate whydunnit – a film so thoroughly inane that it keeps making you chuckle: This is ‘Whydunnit Lite (the LOL version)’. Student of the Year 2 is a film of its time. Over the last decade when young India’s most prized achievement, the engineering degree, has become grossly devalued and unemployment has reached depressing lows, here’s a film that puts the high in high school. The school shown here, Saint Teresa, like the ‘Gurukul’ of Mohabbatein (2000), brims with realism: the principal (Samir Soni) is a laughing stock; the students, in micro-minis and flamboyant jackets, look prepared for a ramp walk any minute; and there’s an inordinate emphasis on everything except studies: dancing, running, singing, jumping, flirting, punching. This, you soon come to realise, is a finishing school for Bollywood hopefuls. After all, who doesn’t want to be a hero? Mysterious creatures with Benjamin Button-like qualities. As I saw 29-year-old Shroff play a 16-year-old, I thought about my grey whiskers and died many silent deaths. Sorry for digressing. I forgot that the film had a story, too. Student of the Year 2 revolves around four main characters. Boy A (Shroff) loves Girl A (Sutaria) (they’re called Rohan and Mia but, in the spirit of the movie, let’s not get bogged down by details). Boy A has loved Girl A for as long as he can remember. The film helpfully describes it, via a song, as “school waala love”. But then Girl A grows up (and by grow up, I mean reaches high school) and thinks, “Oh noes, I gotta get myself a rich boi.” The rich boi is Boy B (Aditya Seal), a student at Saint Teresa, who has won ‘Student of the Year’ two consecutive years. Boy B has a sister, Girl B (Panday), a garden-variety brat who hates her brother (and father). Girl A leaves Boy A for Boy B. Boy A gets all sad, so does the movie, but then he thinks “whatevz” and starts hanging with Girl B.
Another movie from Karan Johar's production house with two newcomers along with Tiger Shroff is a good movie to watch.Full marks for the acting and direction.Story is pretty ok and the climax consists of just 1 game - Kabaadi! Frankly first part was way better! nevertheless good watch for the weekend ..
This movie is about the story of a village boy and what he does for the girl he loves and how he tries to impress her. Tiger shroff follows his lover to the St Theresa college in Dehradun and gets admission in the sports quota and things changes from there on with lifestyle, cars and even competition for hero. It is a college drama movie which is mostly concentrated on the student love story and also how the hero finally achieves his goal. This is a one time watch and you will enjoy if u r a movie buff, must go without much expectations to enjoy it.
Student of the year 2 (SOTY2) is the sequel to 2012 hit Student Of The Year that started Varun,Sid and Alia in main leads. In SOTY2, Tiger is playing the male lead with Tara and Ananya. Tiger plays Kabaddi in the movie. The songs of the movie are good and choreography of all the songs is just awesome. Tiger is killing it with his dance moves in all the songs. Ananya is playing a girl next door kind of role. Overall the movie is one time watch - same old story !!
